Meet Jessica
Registered Psychotherapist | Founder of Serene Lotus Psychotherapy
Jessica is a Registered Psychotherapist and the founder of Serene Lotus Psychotherapy, based in Burlington, Ontario. She holds three Master’s degrees, including a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, a Master of Education, and a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Studies, bringing a combination of academic, clinical, and applied experience to her work.
Jessica's background includes extensive clinical training, experience in victim services, and over a decade of college-level teaching, which she continues alongside her clinical practice. Jessica is also a Certified Yoga Therapist and 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, informing an integrative approach that considers both the psychological and physiological impacts of stress and trauma.

EMDR Therapy
Jessica incorporates EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) into her work with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, and other distressing life experiences. When appropriate, EMDR can support the processing of difficult experiences and help reduce their emotional impact.
Body-Based Therapy & Nervous System Regulation
As a Registered Psychotherapist, Certified Yoga Therapist, and Registered Yoga Teacher, Jessica integrates body-based approaches that recognize the connection between the mind, body, and nervous system. Through increased awareness of physical sensations, emotions, and stress responses, clients can develop greater emotional regulation, self-understanding, and resilience.
Areas of Focus
Jessica supports adults, couples and families experiencing a variety of concerns, including trauma, ADHD, neurodiversity, intimate partner violence (IPV), anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and difficulties related to self-esteem and personal growth.
